MSP Real Estate Inc. was formed in 1989 by Milo Pinkerton. MSP is a real estate development and construction company that specializes in Section 42 Independent Senior Housing. In addition to Independent Senior housing, MSP develops Senior Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s Care Centers, Section 42 Affordable Family Housing and Luxury Market Rate Housing. Over the years MSP has developed more than 25 projects totaling over $120,000,000 in development costs.

   
         
 

   

INDEPENDENT SENIOR HOUSING

In order to meet the growing need for senior housing in the Midwest, MSP became involved in developing senior housing communities. As a result, MSP and its investors have been developing Senior 55 and better

  1. Ownership or rental options, or
  2. Independent living or assisted care options, or
  3. Market rate rental or affordable rental options

To date MSP has developed 1,100 Section 42 Tax Credit Apartments in the Midwest. We have received over $5,000,000 in tax credit allocations totaling over 65,000,000 in project cost, making us one of the largest developers of this type of real estate in the region.

ASSISTED LIVING AND MEMORY CARE CENTERS

In 2000 Heritage Assisted Living was formed by MSP and the company expanded its business to develop Assisted Living and Memory Care centers in Wisconsin. Over the past years MSP has developed 120 beds of Assisted Living(RCAC) and 70 beds of Alzheimer’s(CBRF). These four projects are all private pay facilities that offer the best care money can buy in a relaxing homelike atmosphere.

AFFORDABLE FAMILY HOUSING

MSP believes in building or renovating only projects of the highest quality and which receive full backing from the community in which the project is located. Almost all of our buildings receive assistance through the local, county, state or national programs in which we specialize. MSP Real Estate, Inc. has extensive experience in working with governmental programs to develop and build affordable rental housing for low to moderate income residents in the Midwest. Over the years MSP has developed more than 300 units of Affordable Family Housing. MSP has worked with the following governmental programs:

LUXURY MARKET RATE HOUSING

MSP also develops luxury market housing for Seniors 55 and better as well as apartments unrestricted by age. Louisiana Oaks Apartments in St. Louis Park is our Luxury Market Rate building and it is not restricted by age.
